Poutū-te-rangi (March)

Kia ora and welcome to our Poutū-te-rangi update. Another big month: the Auckland Pride co-chair reviews the Festival and Parade and the Auckland Proud to Play multisport festival plans to become an annual event. The Charlotte Museum is also hosting a multicultural lesbian feast with speakers and discussion. We preview the Wellington Pride Festival, including the women’s pre-human rights conference hui, and Christchurch Pride Week, Waikato research on queer sport, and the upcoming Shift Hui in Wellington. We also cover Dunedin activities and, for those who long for cold weather, plans for Gay Ski Week Queenstown.

On our media page you can read about two overseas guests in the Writers Week part of the arts festival. See our Services page for classified ads and businesses, currently free. Email us your Dyke Diary, Social and Support group updates and we’ll put them online as quickly as possible. We welcome comments (at the bottom of every page) and contributions. Thanks!
