Kia ora and welcome to our Paengawhāwhā update. We have some good news (activism in Taiwan) and bad news (significantly higher rates of smoking by young lesbians in the US) from overseas, and reports of community activities in Wellington, Palmerston North and Auckland. A good news story from Auckland, too, about the appointment of a Rainbow Housing support worker.
Our People page features an interview with Jenni James, working with refugees in Greece, and our Media page previews the lesbian and bisexual women (international guests and local writers) in the Auckland Writers Festival.
Check out Dyke Diary – we update this whenever new events come in. We include women’s and other events of interest to lesbians – send us your suggestions for other local, regional, or national women’s/lesbian events we should be listing.
See our Services page for classified ads, national Rainbow training and accreditation services, and businesses, currently free. Email us your Dyke Diary, Social and Support group updates and we’ll put them online as quickly as possible. We welcome comments (at the bottom of every page) and contributions. Thanks!
