Whiringa-ā-rangi / November 2018

Kia ora and welcome to our Whiringa-ā-rangi update.

There are two conferences happening nationally this month: a Government and Partners Rainbow Conference in Auckland, and a Hui Takatāpui in Hastings.

Regionally, we have stories from Hamilton to South Canterbury. Read about what will be a very social summer in the Waikato, the second Canterbury Lesbian Summer Camp reunion happening early in 2019, a report of the celebration of 41 years of lesbian activity in the Manawatu, and another of the second year of ‘small is beautiful’ Paekakariki Pride.

Our People profile this month is a conversation with chef, cook and baker Elizabeth Marshall.

This month our Media page reviews a new novel by Auckland writer Lisa Williams.

Check out Dyke Diary for events of interest to lesbians and queer women. We update it as we receive information about events – please send us your suggestions (email is good!) of those we should be listing.

Also email us your Social & Support group updates and we’ll put them online as quickly as possible. We welcome comments (at the bottom of every page) and contributions. We also welcome your feedback and suggestions.

Don’t forget to visit our Facebook page – there are more links to stories there, and they don’t always get to the website.

If you prefer to read LNA on paper click on print at the top of our main pages.
